As from January 2016, CTI Invest and the Swiss Startup Factory, which is an independent accelerator, will collaborate. The collaboration aims at making the Swiss Startup Ecosystem to develop further. The co-founder of the Swiss Startup Factory, Mike Baur has been selected as the Deputy Managing Director of CTI Invest, and he is expected to be the one to succeed the current Managing Director, Jean-Pierre Vuilleumier. To make the relationship between the two parties stronger, Jean-Pierre aims to unite the Swiss Startup Factory core team and its selected managing partner of the Swiss Startup Factory starting from January 2016.
The two organizations will be cooperating in different areas, and they have already opened a public online site that has Podcasts and Videos of Swiss Startups on it. The duties of the Swiss Startup Factory will be supporting the CTI Invest in event planning and offering training services for startups under the brand name Swiss Startup Training. The training program is expected to begin in spring 2016.
There will be a renewal of the Swiss Venture Day format whereby the events in the Lausanne and Zurich simultaneous tracks are expected. One event will focus on IT and the other one on Life Sciences. On top of that, a Life Science Venture Day is a preference For Basel. Since there will be occasions during the Swiss Startup Day, the event will be extended by a half day whereby during the first day, the focus will be on the greatest workshops for startups. The Investor and Supporter Dinner will then follow. The second day will comprise the pitching battle, panels, and keynotes, one to one meetings and investors and supporters on stage. A reiteration of the Elevator Pitches as a qualification for the pitching battle is also organized.
