Jeremy Goldstein, of Jeremy L. Goldstein & Associates LLC, started his own boutique law firm a few years ago. He used to work at Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen, & Katz. He left after deciding he wanted to explore corporate governance. His firm deals mostly with advising compensation committees, CEOs, and management teams.
Of the largest cases, Mr. Goldstein personally worked with those clients. He’s one of the most respected experts on corporate governance and executive compensation issues. He’s written and spoken frequently about these matters. He’s one of the most sought after speakers for conventions and conferences.
Being a lawyer in New York is difficult at times. There are too many lawyers advertising their many services everywhere. It’s not only difficult for lawyers to find clients; it’s also difficult for New Yorkers to find the right lawyer. Now, the New York State Bar Association’s trusted LRIS (Lawyer Referral and Information Service) came up with a new, more convenient way for New Yorkers to find a lawyer.
The new LRIS online service is easier to use and guarantees that people are matched with a qualified attorney. The new service is available 24 hours a day and offers a less stressful way to find legal assistance. If preferred, the old LRIS phone service is still available.
New Yorkers feel more confident finding legal help now that there’s an easier way. Every attorney referred by the LRIS has been reviewed by the New York State Bar Association. This ensures every attorney matched is qualified to handle the legal situation.
The first step is filling out a quick questionnaire. After that, the questionnaire is matched with an attorney. Referrals are free, but the first 30-minute consultation is $35; there are some exceptions.
